Once the coalition began their invasion of Saddam's Iraq, Jimmy Kimmel Live was taken off the air so that Nightline could expand their coverage. I believe that the Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday episodes that week were cancelled. (They showed repeats really late at night.) On the plus side, the guest host was Fred Durst and he was pretty lousy.
The following two weeks JK Live was on after a delay. At first it was a half hour, then only about 15 minutes. Coalition forces were in Baghdad by week 3 of the war, so JK Live was put back on at the correct time.
